I LOVED these dreamy woodland conditions for misty bluebell photos

In this week's photography tutorial, I get lucky with some beautiful mist while photographing a gorgeous carpet of bluebells in a woodland in Scotland. I show the settings I use on my Canon R5, how I use a longer lens to compress the scene and emphasise the mist, and what I look for in my compositions. I also explain how I edit my scene in Lightroom and photoshop, using colours and exposure and how -- and why -- I remove distracting elements from the scene. I also talk briefly about the ethics of removing these items and why, as an artistic photographer, I choose to eliminate certain elements, rather than strictly maintain the integrity of every element I saw. As with most things in the artistic world, there is no right or wrong way to do this and it's up to you to draw your own conclusions.
