What's going on at the allotment this week? lots of seed sowing, that's what! Finally it's time to sow some beans, courgettes, pumpkins, and sweet corn seeds at the allotment with the weather warming up nicely in the UK at the moment. These crops grow so quickly and aren't frost tolerant, so they can't really be sown any earlier than April. April is probably the busiest month of the growing season after March. Everything is coming together in the garden and allotment. I'm sowing seeds in the greenhouse today, and they'll be planted outside around mid May, after our average last frost date.
