My first day back in Afghanistan — this time, I started my journey from the streets of Kabul, exploring the heart of a country that has always fascinated me. In this video, I share my first impressions of Afghanistan, the everyday life in Kabul, and how much the place has changed since my last visit. While walking through the bustling streets, meeting locals, and interacting with people from all walks of life — including members of the T@liban — I felt surprisingly safe and welcomed. The hospitality, warmth, and curiosity of Afghan people once again reminded me why this country holds such a special place in my heart. But this video is not just about my travel experience — it’s also a deep dive into the shared history of India and Afghanistan. I trace our connection from the Indus Valley Civilization, through the Mauryan Empire under Ashoka the Great, to the era of the Buddhas of Bamiyan, a symbol of the Buddhist past that once flourished here. From there, I explore the stories of the Ghaznavid and Ghurid dynasties, the rise of the Delhi Sultanate, and how Babur — the founder of the Mughal Empire — came to India from these very lands. The video also covers the period of Ahmad Shah Durrani, known as the founder of modern Afghanistan, and how his empire shaped both Indian and Afghan history. It’s a journey that connects the past and present, showing how deeply intertwined India and Afghanistan have always been — through trade, culture, and history. Join me as I explore Kabul’s vibrant chaos, meet its people, and uncover the layers of history that link our two nations.
