Let it sit for 5-10 minutes, until the yeast becomes foamy and active. Mix the dough: Add the whole wheat flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir with a spoon or dough whisk until a shaggy dough forms. Then, add the olive oil and continue mixing until well incorporated. Knead the dough: Transfer the dough to a oilgreased surface. Knead the dough for 10 minutes by hand, or until it becomes smooth and elastic First rise: Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size. Shape the dough: Gently punch down the risen dough to release the air. On a lightly greased surface, shape the dough into a loaf and place it seam-side down in a greased loaf pan. Second rise: Cover the loaf pan again and let the dough rise for another 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until it nearly doubles in sizesize. Brush the top of bread with some milk or egg and sprinkle some sesame seeds. Bake the bread: Preheat your kadai in a high medium flame.Bake the bread for 45-50 minutes, or until golden brown on top. You can check for doneness by inserting a tooth pick. if it come clear it means your bread is done. Cool and enjoy: Remove the bread from the Kadai and let it cool completely in the pan for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving. Tips: For a richer flavor, you can add 2 tablespoons of softened butter or ghee along with the olive oil. If you prefer a sweeter bread, add an additional tablespoon of honey or sugar. You can also add nuts, seeds, or dried fruits to the dough for extra flavor and texture. Enjoy your homemade whole wheat bread.
