In this video we explore what is now known as Pooh Corner at Wacol, west of Brisbane. This dedicated Bushland Reserve was the site of a World War 2 training camp called Camp Columbia. It was built by the United States Army back in 1942 and later used by the Dutch East Indies Army in exile. Following the war, the Australian Army built a large training camp at the site and it also temporarily housed newly arrived immigrants. Video Notes: 1: There are Unexploded Ammo signs around the site so be cautious. 2: Sorry about my dodgy microphone. I used a new one for this video and also a selfie stick which gave off some weird sound. 3: Snakes. - and there are also heaps of Wallabies. 4: The coins we found all pre-dated WW2. 5: There is a grammatical error in the text in the video where I incorrectly use an inverted comma instead of an apostrophe. 5: If you'd have any more info about the site, or you'd like to correct something I said, I'm more than happy for you to comment or contact me. 6: Harry's YouTube is @TheDiggingDetective (I keep telling hime he should upload more) Thanks for watching.
