Welcome to my newest free pattern tutorial! I hope you all are doing well! I know it's a few days past Valentines day, but this hat can really be knit up at any time. This pattern is the perfect beginner colorwork knitting project, it has a simple pattern that I will walk you through in this video. I am seriously no expert at colorwork, it's probably my weakest knitting skill, and I definitely tell ya that in the video. There are techniques that advanced colorwork knitters will tell you to use, but I think if you want to learn the basics you can throw those things out the window for the first few projects. Learn to knit with 2 strands first, then learn more advanced techniques. Anyways, I made this hat with Valentines day in mind, but the idea came to me about 3 days before the holiday, ha! My mind can be cruel sometimes, there are not enough hours in the day. I think you guys will like this pattern any time of year, its a fun, fast and easy knit perfect for beginner colorwork knitters.
