We all know that Shedeur Sanders is a hot topic. No matter what you say, people either love him or hate him. For me, I want to see all these guys succeed. I want to see Shedeur succeed, I want to see Dillon Gabriel succeed. I’ve got absolutely no agenda in this whole thing other than wanting these guys to be better. And when I break it down, I’ll tell you what I see, honestly. Hopefully these guys get a chance to see the video and maybe pick up things that can help them get better. That, to me, is my only agenda. I don’t have any other reason to break this stuff down. I am for all of these guys, no matter what I say, and whether you like it or not, I’m for all of them. So let’s dive in and take a look. Obviously, we all know it wasn’t the ideal situation. He didn’t get a lot of practice reps, as we’ve already discussed — unfair, abnormal, whatever you want to call it. There are situations where backups get no reps going into a week; sometimes they get a few. Every situation is different. Overall, I thought he played a really good football game. Sure, clean some things up, make some better throws — all things that I think will improve as he gets more comfortable being thrown in. And we’ve all talked about it: not an easy situation to get thrown into without reps, not expecting to play, and then having to step in and go. But overall, I thought the decisions he made when opportunities were in front of him were pretty good decisions for the most part. There were a number of plays where there was nothing there, and he still managed to make some positive plays. Throwing the ball away, avoiding sacks — those are things he’ll keep getting better at moving forward. To me, the stats lie in terms of how I thought Shedeur handled that situation. And I expect this week to be even better. #sheduersanders #clevelandbrowns #nflnews
