I want to change that by sharing all of the mistakes I make while practicing drums/percussion and talk through how I try to improve. In particular, I will share what I do to practice drumline/rudimental drumming (e.g., snare, tenor, and bass) chops and technique that can help you with getting on a DCI/WGI line, as well as how I develop and work on drum kit/set limb independence, coordination, groove, etc. If you enjoy these streams, join me during a live session and ask questions, or simply play along with me and treat this as a drum lesson or clinic. Note that the thousands of free drumming resources I am using during my stream can all be found here: https://jaredoleary.com/drum #drumline #drumming #drums #drum #drummer #drummers #percussion #percussionist #baterista #ドラマー #ドラムライン #JaredOLeary ━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 0:00 Intro + just chatting 4:30 Warming up with Chug with RLRRLLs and RLRRs 7:00 Just chatting while I stretch and massage 12:45 Paradiddle zoom zoom 30:00 Do snares and tenors play with different techniques? 32:50 More paradiddle zoom zoom 34:55 Marching bass technique is the same 37:20 More paradiddle zoom zoom 39:00 When to change your technique when playing faster (temporary audio issues) 47:45 Why I tape my sticks (and with what) 49:00 More paradiddle zoom zoom 51:20 My end goal when arranging/composing 53:50 Front finger fulcrum vs triangle/middle finger fulcrum 59:20 Tips and pads I recommend 1:02:05 How to work on floppy flams 1:07:30 Chopping out with Chug with RLRRLLs and RLRRLLLLs 1:12:05 Working flams with grid 1:14:05 Outro
