We're excited about the upcoming debate between Dr Dale Tuggy and Dr Michael Bird in Melbourne, Australia on 20th March 2026! Hosted at the Canterbury Christadelphian Church, Tuggy and Bird will be debating the motion, "The New Testament Jesus is not God". Dan was thrilled to speak to Dale along with Sam Crispin from the Canterbury Christadelphians and James DiLiberto who helped organise things when it was all just an idea. We navigate globe-spanning time zones to discuss what we know about Mike Bird's Christology, all of his books that Dale's been reading, our general appreciation for Mike Bird's work on things like the Ask NT Wright Anything podcast, but also his distaste for coffee! Dale gives away a few things about how he plans to argue his case for a biblical unitarian Jesus in the New Testament who is not God, Sam conveys excitement from the Christadelphian community about this opportunity, and James goes off an all kinds of tangents from William Lane Craig and good unitarian worship music to early Christadelphian rejection of "mere man" Christology!
