Add the vegetable oil and mix just until combined. Sift the flour and baking powder together into the batter and gently mix. Fold in the grated carrots and walnuts with a spoon until everything is nicely combined. Grease and flour your cake pan, pour the batter in, and smooth the top. Bake in a preheated oven at 170°C (338°F) for 50 minutes, placing the pan in the middle of the oven for even baking. After baking, turn off the oven and let the cake rest inside for 10 minutes, then take it out and let it cool slightly.
