#BMWiX3 #luxuryEV #EVreview We’ve been hearing about BMW’s next step into pure electrification for a few years now, and while we’ll still have to wait until next year for the first Neue Klasse model to arrive in Canada, we just had our first experience behind the wheel of that inaugural vehicle, the iX3 50 xDrive. And despite the fact the iX3s I drove were still in the prototype phase, the three hours of public-road driving and closed-course handling runs at BMW’s secretive and sprawling Autodrome de Miramas facility in the south of France revealed much about the all-electric SUV’s personality. The day’s itinerary covered what BMW engineers referred to as the four foundations of the iX3, and, by extension, the New Class stable: electrification; advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS); Panoramic iDrive; and, last but certainly not least, driving dynamics (or in BMW marketing-speak, "Heart of Joy").
