You can cycle from Stratford in east London to Walthamstow in about 30 minutes, which is also about how long the journey takes via public transport. The route is entirely on quiet streets, protected cycleways, and paths in parks. It's a really pleasant ride. This route takes in the Olympic park, Hackney Marshes, and Lea Bridge Road or C23. It's about 5 miles long, or 8km.
