Growing up here with a lifelong fascination toward storms and tornadoes, I've heard the stories from those who experienced it firsthand and I've seen the lingering effects it's had on people and places. It remains a notorious day in local history - a freak event that would be extreme even by Tornado Alley standards, in a way that few locals even thought possible. This spring marks the 40th anniversary of a day that to many residents of Pennsylvania came as a sudden and terrible surprise – unlikely, unexpected, and unpredictable. This documentary is something different than what I normally make, but it’s still a project based on my own photography and music. None of the tornado photos in this video are real, but are recreations I’ve made using only elements from photos I’ve taken. They’re made to either resemble the real 1985 tornadoes from the photos that do exist, or infer what they may have looked like. Feel free to leave a comment, or Like or Subscribe for more!
