A young man, Subrata Naik, who visited the Purunakatak Community Health Center for treatment of a minor skin problem, allegedly died after receiving an injection from the doctor. According to family members, Subrata’s health suddenly worsened after the treatment. He was admitted again to the same hospital and given saline and additional medicines. As his condition became critical, he was referred to Boudh District Headquarters Hospital. However, he died on the way. The family has accused the doctor of medical negligence and wrong treatment leading to the tragic death. Police have reached the hospital, seized the body, and started an investigation into the incident. The District Chief Medical Officer (CDMO) has also responded to the sensitive matter.
