The species scientific/Latin name, Sequoia Sempervirens, means "forever green" or "living forever." Eric purchased this tree from Bon Shimon of Mendocino Coast Bonsai (mcbonsai.com) last year, and it's been about one year since Bob collected it. 00:00:55 Whenever Eric receives a new tree, the first thing he likes to do before beginning any bonsai work is to assess root health with a bare root and root health assessment.
