These are the Wera joker spanner’s and I’m gonna show you exactly which sizes I carry and what are use them for. The Spanish you’ve seen me using all my videos they are a self setting and also a ratchet spanner. The main reason why I really like him is that I hate adjustable spanners because you were just to the correct measurement of your nut and when you put it on and pull it back off again it’s already moved as there’s too much play and slop in the mechanism, I understand that they compact and really good because you can Adjust to different sizes but for me, I’m much prefer the right size spanner for a job. The first spanner I’m gonna look at is the large version and I mainly use this for all my radiator tales that’s either doing the thermostat side or using my key I can use it to do up the lock shield as well. This size is generally 16 mm but as the large size covers 16-19 it’s perfect and can also tighten up the hex and square. The next size we’re gonna look at is my most common used and it is the XL size which adjusts from 19 to 24 mm. This size is perfect for 15 mm compression nuts as nowadays because they import the fittings from other countries instead of being the regular 24 mm. Some of them are 23 so instead of carrying two spanners to do one size the Joker is able to cover both sizes as it ranges through the both The last size I carry is the big boy and this is the XXL which adjusts from 24 mm to 32 now although this spanner can fit your 15 mm compression nut sizes it is rather large compared to the xl version both in the head and the length of the handle. The spanner I generally use for 22 mm compression nut sizes but it can also do the radiator lock shield nuts as this is 30 mm. I hope this is clarified a little bit of information for you on which size to buy if you’re definitely looking at getting the Wera joker wrenches they’re not the perfect wrench as they are bigger than your average size but if you have the space using them is a breath of fresh air and you can get plenty of leverage with the long arms and also I’ve never had the spanners ever slip once they’re locked on the key to put the spanners on the fitting is to push-up on the little black part with your thumb which opens up the spanner and then you can put the spanner straight over the top of the nut and start adjusting.
