UN Says America May Be Disappearing People

The United Nations says that America may be engaging in “enforced disappearances”. That is when the state kidnaps you and you’re never seen again, and the state refuses to acknowledge that they kidnapped you and refuses to reveal your fate. This is illegal under international law. Enforced disappearances usually entail murder, torture, or illegal detention. Germany famously did this with their Gestapo, but in the modern day - Russia, China, North Korea all partake in the practice. It's perhaps most known for its use in Latin America by communist and fascist governments alike though. The movie on Netflix called “I’m still here” is about this happening in Brazil. The United Nations is conducting an investigation into human rights abuses in the United States. When El Salvador was questioned on the illegal US deportations to CECOT, they told the UN that the US still has full legal custody of those they sent. Trump has said time and time again that he will take citizenship away from Americans, deport them to El Salvador, or put them in detention camps in America. And we’re already seeing an increasing amount of Americans getting detained by ICE and in some cases being deported simply because they’re Latino. A federal court just had to order ICE to stop detaining Americans based on the color of their skin. And you may think “I’m White or Black, that’s a Latino problem”. You’re wrong. They’re terminating Haitian’s legal statuses in September, that means Black people will soon be in their crosshairs. When they eventually get to Ukrainians and Russians, White people will be in the crosshairs. Americans have to hang together or most assuredly they’ll all hang separately. The UN will release a report on the US in September and if it finds that we’re disappearing people, killing, or torturing them - experts say it would be a death blow to the American brand of freedom and liberty. #usa #america #unitednations
