"If you see a shark, shoot it until it dies" - Microsoft Ever since I've accumulated a number more CRT monitors after the sixth segment, I figured "hey, maybe you don't always have to have a completely unrealistic number of CRTs connected to one computer to get an absurd setup". With that, I present one triple monitor setup involving a gigantic overrated 21" HP Trinitron sandwiched in between two tiny cash register monitors! One of them is in black and white, no less! Seeing two extreme ends of monitor sizes shoved right to each other is pretty awkward. You'd be better off getting three equally sized monitors so as to not have to constantly mind window sizes. Oh, did I say that? Well, this idea might just be crazier. You know how the VGA connector has separate pins for red, green, and blue? Well, it turns out that by grabbing some cheap pass-through adapters and modifying them, you can get yourself some sick color filters! It's an easy way to get yourself a green graphical terminal if you can't find one otherwise. https://web.archive.org/web/20230308121603... I've set up the only proper RGB gaming setup, in which one monitor is red, another is green, and yet another is blue. This setup is used to finish what I started; I played through Darius, if you can believe it, and it's a lot more hazardous than you might think. Also featured here is a single monitor set to a resolution of 1800x1440, the highest I was able to attain on any of the CRTs I have. With Windows 98, it's now possible to push the Program Manager even further! Never modify a VGA cable directly, especially if it is hardwired to the monitor.
