Along the western mountains of Pennsylvania this once grand house sits crumbling away, now a brooding miasma of rot from years of neglect. Built sometime in the mid to late 1800’s for a wealthy agrarian family with ties to the railroad which once ran right down the street from this house. The house remained in the same family until the 1950’s, then passed through multiple new owners over the following decades until finally being vacated in the late 1980’s- early 1990’s. Even in its state of disrepair the house stands proudly in the face of an uncertain future. These houses were designed by the men who built them and their design rose out of necessity.
