California senator targets CARB authority with bill aimed at accountability

A California Republican lawmaker has introduced legislation that would increase legislative oversight of state regulatory agencies, arguing that unelected boards contribute to high costs for residents. Sen. Tony Strickland authored Senate Bill 885, known as the Restoring Accountability Act, which would require regulations with an economic impact of $50 million or more to be approved by the Legislature.
