My stock 2020 Giant Stance 1 29" (named Jolly Green Giant) came with a 180 mm Shimano rotor on the front and a 160 mm rotor on the rear. I've been riding more of the steep downhill trails and started to notice that I need more braking power. I decided to simply try increasing the rotor sizes since it was fairly cheap to do so. All I had to buy was a 203 mm rotor, caliper brake adaptor, and new pads. I was able to move the stock front 180 mm rotor and its 160 mm to 180 mm brake adaptor to the rear. Only took about an hour to do and was relatively easy especially if your kids walk in on your video precisely when you need some help :) Tools needed: 5 mm allen for the brake calipers/mounts needle nose pliers for the brake pad cotter pin torque wrench capable of 18-35 in. lbs. for the rotors T25 Torx bit for the rotors plastic (or wood) tool to compress the caliper pistons Parts List ordered from Jenson USA: Shimano F203P/P Disc Brake Adapter 203mm Rotor, 74mm Caliper, 74mm Fork $8.25 https://www.jensonusa.com/Shimano-F20...
