Hi, thanks for watching. I folded a 5” x 5” piece of paper in half and drew a narrow heart as my flower petal. Then, cut it out. I was able to fit 2 petals on one coffee filter, so I folded 3 or 4 coffee filters at a time and cut out the petals. I used 12 petals per flower. I poured some water in a container and added the color I wanted. I tested out six colors from a watercolor set by Kid Made Modern. I dipped the petals and set them aside to dry overnight. Next, I wrapped floral wire with floral tape. To do this, near one end, wrap the wire at an angle while tugging on the tape. When you reach the end, slightly overlap the top and continue wrapping the wire, while going back down. Add glue to the bottom of the stem and petal. I placed the stem at about 1/3 of the petal and rolled it to create the center. Then, I glued the other petals around it. Make sure to alternate where the petal dips. At every 2 to 3 petals, place the petals slightly higher than the previous, so that the petals look like they’re getting a little bigger. Wrap the bottom of the petals with floral tape to hide the glue. Then, space out the petals. I used a bamboo skewer to curl the ends. __________ instagram: @itscreatewithjenn / itscreatewithjenn
