Removing ivy is easy if you know how! This video shows the simple tools and techniques to remove ivy off trees and the ground. Also most native plants and trees can be saved on the ground by pulling the ivy and using the tools on the ivy as necessary. When Ivy vines on trees are very large they can be cut at chest high and then down to the ground (As low to the ground as possible). Ideally it is good to create a lifesaver circle (from 3 to 6 feet) around the base of the tree where there is no ivy on the ground. Maintaining the protective ring protects the trees.
