There is a typo on the portuguese lyrics, the singer says "1883" but he was born in april 19 of 1882. Getúlio Vargas was a deputee from the state of Rio Grande do Sul from 1924 to 1928; governor of said state from 1928 to 1930; president of Brazil from 1930 to 1937; dictator of Brazil from 1937 till 1945; senator from 1946 to 1950 and president again from 1951 to 1954. At the brink of a US sponsored military coup he comitted suicide on august 24 of 1954.
