(Original TSL) SMRT Trains Kawasaki CRRC Sifang CT251 2016 Woodlands North to Gardens by the Bay

Here is a joyride video on board a CT251 (Set 2016) on the Thomson East Coast line from Woodlands North to Gardens by the Bay, otherwise known as the Original TSL, well, minus Mount Pleasant and Marina South stations which are closed until the Residential and Commercial Developments at both stations are fully built. The Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang CT251 Trains are the first batch of trains operating on the Thomson East Coast Line since 2020. Equipped with Mitsubishi Electric Hybrid SIC SBD IGBT-VVVF propulsion system, These trains are the first of their kind, featuring 10 doors per car to facilitate quicker boarding and alighting. 91 of these units have been bought by LTA with 59 of them currently operating. For now though the Thomson East Coast Line currently operates from Woodlands North to Gardens by the Bay, with the line expected to be fully open by 2025 Date: 23 November 2022 Side Note: I have to admit that I filmed this video 10 days late from the first day of passenger service for the TEL3, but, ah well...
