This patient came to us with 24-year-old saline textured subglandular breast implants that had become hard as a rock, causing extreme pain and severe deformity. The implants were not only affecting her appearance but also her quality of life. What sets this case apart? Not only did she have very little breast tissue, but these implants were surrounded by heavy calcifications that were slowly distorting her breast tissue. The implants had become squeezed by the calcified capsule, leading to intense deformation. To make matters more complex, this patient also had pectus excavatum (a concaved chest), which had been unsuccessfully treated by previous surgeons with two prior reconstructive surgeries. After carefully evaluating her condition, we performed a breast lift, fat transfer, and a C-section scar revision to improve her overall appearance.
