In the early hours of December 8, 2000, 22-year-old Trevor Deely vanished without a trace in Dublin, Ireland, sparking one of the most perplexing missing persons cases in the country’s history.  Trevor had attended his office Christmas party at Buck Whaley’s nightclub before walking home to his apartment in Ballsbridge. Around 3:25 AM, he left the club and made a brief stop at his workplace to retrieve an umbrella. CCTV footage shows Trevor conversing with an unidentified man dressed in black outside the Bank of Ireland Asset Management building. This man has never been identified, and his connection to Trevor remains a mystery.  The last known sighting of Trevor was captured on CCTV at approximately 4:14 AM on Haddington Road, where he was seen passing a Bank of Ireland ATM. Shortly after, a man dressed in black is seen walking in the same direction, but authorities have confirmed that this individual is not the same person seen earlier outside the office building. Despite extensive investigations and numerous appeals, Trevor’s whereabouts remain unknown.   Over the years, Gardaí have followed up on nearly 900 leads, conducted searches, and released enhanced CCTV footage in hopes of uncovering new information. In 2023, they identified and interviewed the man seen walking behind Trevor on Haddington Road, concluding that there was nothing suspicious about his movements. However, the identity of the man outside the office building and the circumstances surrounding Trevor’s disappearance remain unresolved.   Trevor’s family, especially his brother Mark, continue to seek answers and justice. Their unwavering commitment to finding Trevor has kept the case in the public eye, even as time passes.
