The lives of too many of the farming community are lost each year. Vehicles contribute to 20% of farming fatalities. Slurry is a very valuable nutrient source but the handling of slurry involves a lot of dangers. There are 3 golden rules if something goes wrong when handling slurry: 1 - Evacuate; 2 - Ventilate; & 3 - Agitate Many farmers farm alone and this brings a number of risks, the video details the precautions that should be taken when farming alone. Fatal farm accidents bring both grieving and financial consequences. It is important to work hard to make our farms safer places to work.
