Anycubic Kobra 2 Pro / Kobra 2 Plus / Kobra 2 MAX Z-axis Linear Rail Upgrade Guide Note: The method for upgrading the Z-axis linear rail is the same for Kobra 2 Pro, Kobra 2 Plus, and Kobra 2 MAX. The difference lies in the lower positioning jig for the linear rail: Kobra 2 Pro uses one type, Kobra 2 Plus and Kobra 2 MAX use another type. The upper positioning jig is the same for all three models. Please download and print the correct version according to your machine model. The machine shown in the video is the Kobra 2 MAX. Purpose: 1.Replace the POM wheels with linear rails and CNC metal parts to improve machine stability. 2.This upgrade does not affect the printing volume—the printer will retain its original build size. (Note: The original Kobra 2 Pro Z-axis upgrade kit will be discontinued because its installation is complicated and it reduces the X-axis printing size.) Installation Steps: 1.Manually move the Z-axis upward and support the X-axis with a suitable object. 2.Adjust the eccentric nuts on both sides to the loosest position. (As shown in the diagram, the marking on the eccentric nuts should face inward.) 3.Place M3*8 screws and M3 T-nuts onto the linear rail; you may install them at intervals of one or two holes. Note: This step is for demonstration purposes only and not the actual linear rail installation. 4.Remove the two outermost POM wheels on both sides. 5.Clip the lower positioning jig into the designated place. 6.Place the linear rail onto the jig. Be careful not to let go of the rail to prevent it from falling. 7.Install the upper jig in the designated position. 8.Tighten the screws to secure the linear rail. 9.Use M3*6 screws to attach the bracket to the slider. 10.Use M5*8 screws to fix the X-axis back plate and the two brackets together. 11.Repeat the same procedure for the other side. 12.Remove the supporting object. Installation is complete.
