Update: At times amazon sells different versions of this kit. The kit I got had a metal buckle and you need to loop it though the D-rings as you should normally do! Please take this video with a grain of salt. That being said, I've personally slid my head across the asphalt at 37 mph and my helmet stayed on. I know that there are many factors involved in crashes but with the testing I've done, I feel confident in this particular product I own. I recently added these quick release straps to my helmets.
