Rex Hambly | Mitigation-Trespass Technician, Bureau of Land Management (BLM) (V0.2) I am honored to introduce Rex Hambly, a veteran wildland firefighter and Mitigation-Trespass Technician for the Bureau of Land Management’s California Desert Interagency Fire Program. With over two decades of field experience, Rex has served as a Fire Captain, Strike Team Leader, and Burn Boss, and currently acts as a vital liaison between the BLM and the CAL FIRE San Diego Unit. He is a passionate advocate for public safety, notably serving as the co-founder and lead instructor for the "Last Chance Survival Simulation Workshop," which teaches civilians critical survival tactics for extreme wildfire scenarios. Beyond his operational expertise, Rex frequently shares his knowledge of fire behavior and home hardening at community events to help residents navigate the unique challenges of our landscape.
