Doom 2: Alien Vendetta MAP14: Overwhelming Odds - Pistol Start (Ultra-Violence)

This is Alien Vendetta Level 14 done from scratch on Ultra-Violence with 100% kills and secrets, played using PrBoom + v2.5.1.4. Overwhelming Odds is the fourteenth level of Alien Vendetta and it was designed by Brad Spencer. It is a very difficult level with a little room for error. As the name says, you WILL get overwhelmed if you don't do things right. This map was just as difficult as I remembered. It has been about 5 years I played Alien Vendetta on solo. This is obviously not a speedrun, but just a standard UV pistol start. I wasn't using my rockets well early on because on my first attempts, I had plenty of them. There were also a few dangerous moments / mistakes along the way. I totally forgot the Cyberdemon near the Red Key, so I couldn't utilize him dealing with all those Imps and Barons. Fortunately I had a good amount of Cells so that wasn't a concern. I accidentally managed to trigger the 30sec door at the Blue Key. That really helped me a lot. Apparently there was a linedef trigger right in front of the Key. Yeah, Overwhelming Odds is a pretty damn difficult map, but it is a fun challenge to try a level totally out of your comfort zone. I took my time backtracking ammo / pickups which added it's toll on the clock. 27 minutes is literally forever, but I'm glad I completed this crazy map anyway. So prepare to listen "On the Hunt" for 20+ minutes.
