Fishing Offshore Slow Jigging 18th June 2020, Browns Mountain Sydney Australia

Deep sea slow jigging session at Browns Mountain Sydney, Australia 🇦🇺 A very choppy ride out due to the wind and short swell period. The morning was very slow and we had to wait for the tide change. As soon as that happened the action picked up and we caught most of the fish in 2 hours. I was surprised that an ocean perch would take a jig that was bigger than itself! A mixed bag of #gemfish, #alfosino, #reefoceanperch and #mirrordory, which are all great eating species. #alfosino (aka #kinmedai #goldeneyesnapper) is a fantastic sashimi grade species. Fish was aged 3 days and has a nice fatty after taste of the sea!
