http://razorsharkfish.deviantart.com/... Always loved Ashfur. I mean I know he was a jealous asshole but then again I can relate to that. Sometimes souls feel things far too strong and then when things go sour, those feelings that they held onto, they have no idea how to let go of them. After a while that hatred becomes the very existence and reason for being. You begin to know nothing else but that feeling until someone saves you from it. You wake up in the morning with those feeling and go to sleep and dream with those feelings. The jealousy moulds into anger and then into pure hatred. It's like a weed that you just can't dig up on your own because it's roots are buried so deep, even if you were to try, it would grow back. Some of us just aren't strong enough to fix ourselves, especially if theres no reason to. People need a drive to get better from such things and Ashfur didn't exactly have one. I think Ashfur just wasn't lucky enough to have someone strong and willing to mend him, to love him, so in the end his only escape was the cut throat claws of Hollyleaf. In a sad way, it was a bit of a mercy killing, even if it wasn't intended as such. I don't however agree with his actions, but then again, such emotions can twist once kind beings so much until to the point of kindness being smothered by all the negatives. So anyway, I decided to draw dead Ashfur. Why the frick not, eh? Also I wasn't planning on drawing him under the water, i was just going to give him a plain background but then I remembered that I had promised myself I'd make backgrounds for my pictures and not 'half-arse' them like I used to. However I wasn't about to go back and edit his fur to make it look like it's flowing with the water, so just see the background as a separate to Ashfur in a sense, sort of to add feeling to it i guess aha. Regardless I had a lot of fun practicing ripples ;u; It was mostly just me squiggling lines then copying and pasting them over one another, then changing the size and opacity but for something so simple; I'm liking the effect c: Ashfur/Warrior Cats © Erin Hunter/s Art © RazorSharkFish
