IMPORTANT NOTE: Painting skin can be hard. Just remember this: it doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be realistic. You are an artist trying to convey your voice through your art. Be imaginative and unconventional. And most importantly, Never compare your style to others. Do what feels right to you. Even though this portrait is inspired by Jane Davenport, I did not try to imitate her. The pose of her head and the flow of the hair are the only things that were inspired by the artist.
