I'm Celso de Almeida, drummer, and today I'm giving you a tip that I frequently use. I usually play samba accentuating the hi-hat. Where does this accent come from? It comes from the tambourine, from the basic tambourine beat. So, 1, 2, 1, 2... 1, 2, 1, 2, 1, 2... Then I add the snare drum hoop to the beat.
