In this travel vlog, I have captured Sandefjord and its surroundings in a relaxing cinematic setting in beautiful southern Norway. The season is late August when the high tourist season has come to an end. I have mixed footage from my Mavic 3 drone with ground footage shot using a Samsung S23 Ultra. Editing was done using DaVinci Resolve and Movavi. The music is from Epidemic Sound. Why I Visited Sandefjord I live close to Gothenburg in western Sweden, but I had never visited Sandefjord in Norway despite the short distance. So, we decided to go there and stay for a few days. Sandefjord is famous for being an excellent "summer city" located by the sea, with plenty of nearby beaches and small islands. The marina, located right by the city center, hosts several restaurants and bars. Whale Catching History Sandefjord has a history as the "whale-catching capital of the world." This heritage is strong in Sandefjord, with monuments, historic buildings, and the local Whale Catching Museum. Many of today’s restaurants in the harbor previously served as boilers and warehouses for the whaling industry.
