After catching this train, being the westbound SRY Valley Turn at Essendene Avenue with a pair of WCH M-Bells (video to come out sometime in the future), I came over to this crossing to hopefully catch it another time. Turns out I did, as they took quite a while to switch another customer just a bit south of here. While waiting, CP V84 (the Sumas Turn) snuck up on me, so I wasn't able to get it sadly. The westbound SRY Valley Turn eventually continued its journey towards the Trapp Yard in New West, so I managed to get it another time, being the last. Here we see it going through with all four of SRY's 6-axle locomotives in the consist. Since the last time I captured SRY 385 leading (which was back in 2020), this unit has had its New Cast P3 horn replaced with a new Raised Letter K5LA horn. This crossing is still pretty cool, even if it's one of the more boring installs along the SRY. These signals were installed around 2006-2007 when this road was widened to four lanes to match the majority of this road at that time. Before that, it appears this crossing (and the crossing behind me, being McCallum Road #2) were passive. Ever since these signals have been installed, only a couple very minor changes have occurred. First off, the further right right-turn lane gate mast signal had its original GE/Harmon base replaced with a WCH base between 2014 and 2017. Then sometime between April 2021 and when this video was recorded, the near median signal's gate arm was replaced. Please comment, like and subscribe!
