This is a little off topic for what I usually post in this channel. But I find it an interesting engineering opportunity. I can't develop it, buy maybe someone else with deeper pockets will want to. Basically, proper aircraft wings have a specific curvature facing the wind for efficient lift. There is little difference in the flow dynamics of swim and scuba fins. But man made fins, so far, have mis-applied what they think they see in fish, and inverted that profile. The correct curve would be much more efficent for fins. Maybe as high as 200%.
