This video is the first in a three part series. It is for beginning level jazz improvisers looking for a better understanding of the blues chord changes and form. If you are getting bored with playing the same licks using the blues scale, this video is for you! You will need a basic understanding of how to spell scales and chords. All notes, key signatures, and song keys described are concert pitch (C/non transposing instruments) although the rules apply to all key centers. Welcome to Doc's Jazz Underground! If you are interested in videos featuring great performers of Jazz music and music from all over the world, you've come to the right place.
