Varanasi Bizman Duped Of ₹16.6 Cr In Goa Land Scam

A businessman from Varanasi and his partners have allegedly been duped of ₹16.6 crore in a fraudulent land deal in Goa, with the accused reportedly using forged documents to execute the scam. According to police, the accused posed as legitimate property owners of a prime land parcel in Penha de Franca. They allegedly entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the victims, furnished fake title documents to establish ownership, and even handed over possession of the land to gain their confidence. The fraud came to light later when discrepancies in the property documents were discovered, revealing that the accused had no legal ownership of the land. Based on a complaint filed by the victim, an FIR has been registered at Bhelupur Police Station in Varanasi against Amit Kumar Sinha (Dehradun), Vittorio Jose Velho (Goa), Prajay Sinandkar, Dr. Amit Kumar Singh, and Pramod Patel. The accused have been booked under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including cheating, forgery, and criminal breach of trust.
