5 FREE Things To Do In Lincoln, Nebraska | Sunken Gardens | Capitol | Pioneers Park

We had an amazing time in Lincoln, Nebraska, but we were trying to keep our spending down. There are so many things to see and do there and we were fortunate to find 5 FREE things to do in Lincoln, Nebraska! From Sunken Gardens to the Nebraska State Capitol, the Roller Skating Museum to Pioneers Park (and more), there is an ample supply of fun and free things to experience in Lincoln! We also provided information on where we stayed during our time in the area. Louisville State Recreation Area (SRA) is only about 30 minutes from Lincoln and is centrally located between Lincoln and Omaha! We stayed in a campsite in our cargo trailer conversion and it was great! It has a huge camping area (all paved) and there are lots of places to walk and hike (along the Platte River!). If you're planning to stay at a Nebraska SRA, keep in mind you'll have to pay a little more than you might expect - especially if you're an out of state resident. In addition to the camping fees, we had to pay an extra $12 per day to drive into the park (as an out of state resident you pay $12 per day, or $60 per year for a pass). It's a little pricey if you ask me, so we reconsidered our camping options after our stay at Louisville SRA. Here's a link to their site: https://outdoornebraska.gov/location/... We had a truly amazing lunch at Muchacho's in downtown Lincoln. One of the YouTubers we watch regularly (‪@AdventuresofAplusK‬) recommended it if in the area - we weren't disappointed!
