In this heartfelt sit-down interview, Portrait Chronicles presents the story of Asha, a courageous 23-year-old widow and mother of two young children. Her life has been shaped by struggle from a very early age. Growing up in a Hindu family, she battled a painful illness during her school years that made life extremely difficult. Even after visiting temples and performing various rituals, her condition did not improve, until a friend encouraged her to seek help at a prayer center. There, she experienced healing and eventually embraced Christianity, finding hope in a new chapter of life. During her time at the prayer center, Asha met the man who would become her husband. Their life together brought joy, love, and purpose until tragedy struck in December 2024 when he passed away in a sudden accident. With her husband being the only breadwinner and working as a driver, Asha now finds herself jobless and financially vulnerable. She and her children currently survive through the support of her in-laws, who help provide food and education for the kids.
