Personal Transformation Drives Cultural Change

Integrity Solutions partner and senior consultant Steve Schmidt reflects on one CEO’s personal transformation and how that drove a sea change in the company. Several years ago there was a young man who came out of law enforcement and entered corporate America. He felt a little bit "out of his womb." One of the first experiences he had was going through one of our (customer) service processes. It was very impactful for him. He learned a lot about himself, and he learned a lot about what he could do to be the best he could be in that position. So we fast forward about 14 years that young man has become the president of the company and has made a conscious decision that he wants all new hires to have that same experience. And what's happened in the last six to eight months is that we've revitalized that culture with him and for him. And beyond that we've equipped him to become 'the coach'- so he personally chose to get certified (or equipped) to lead the training within the organization because he believes so much in it.
