This video will show you a strategy to beat the Fire Giant without cheese or spirit ashes, and will teach you about his attacks and how to dodge them. Different kinds of poison: https://eldenring.wiki.fextralife.com... Stats: My character was level 168 but WAIT-- I used +13 weapons for this guide. Most of your damage actually comes from upgrading your weapons, rather than from raising your stats. A level 100 character with +1 weapons, will typically do less damage than a level 10 character with +20 weapons. The recommended upgrade level for this fight is +18-20. I also make up for my higher level by playing on NG+4, which is why you'll see the Giant's attacks do so much damage to me, even at 60 Vigor. Speaking of which... Make sure you raise your Vigor to at least 40! EVERY character, regardless of build, should have at least 40 Vigor, and preferably as much as 60 Vigor. For any boss fight, or really for the entire game in general, Vigor is easily the most important stat, which is why it's at the top of your stat list. Make sure you raise your vigor! Spear Talisman: The Spear Talisman increases "damage from counterattacks unique to thrusting weapons." No, this is not referring to guard counters (that's the Curved Sword talisman). There's a semi-hidden mechanic in Elden Ring where your Pierce damage negation is reduced by 15% during any attack animation. This applies not only to the player, but also to all NPCs and other enemies, and other players in PvP. During most attacks, an enemy's Pierce negation is reduced. The Spear Talisman makes your attack do even more damage to a target whose Pierce negation is reduced due to being in an attack animation. This is really strong just in general, but especially against the Fire Giant, which has really long attack animations, so you can get multiple counterattack hits in.
