http://www.cheaphumidors.com/a/oktobe... Hi this is Kelly from Cheap Humidors and today my unboxing is for the Quesada Oktoberfest, which is made by Manuel Quesada. This is a limited release product; it's Oktoberfest so they’re usually just seasonal. With Halloween coming up, we thought we would give this one a try for you to see what's inside. This size, you can see here, is Das Boot which is their torpedo size (it says right here). It has their cheesy clip art of beer mugs right here with black and white print. It's a pretty simple box; there's not a lot going on with it but let's open it up and check it out. So right there, it says 2011, but this is the 2014 edition. It does have the seal right here which a lot of them are coming with now. This is the Dominican Republic seal. And again, on the front it's got cheesy beer steins. I think they could have found a little fancier clip art. On the bottom, it has three different pieces. It has the stamping right here, which is not individual for each box; this is for the lot. Then here is the "20 Premium Cigars Hand Made in the Dominican Republic." Then this is the genuine product seal from the Association of Dominican Cigar Manufacturers. It does have two hinges on the back in gold. And again, not a lot of artwork; they actually pay to put black on here and some white on here. They could have done a better job with the styling and found more interesting pieces of art on there. Let's open it up. It has a single color print on the inside which is the exact same as the outside. It does have the spider web vellum. It's pretty common; you can see these different lines of cigar manufacturers use this cool vellum. So the first thing I notice when I open it - Das Boot is their torpedo style - is that they're not individually cello wrapped. So that's different. People think well that's kind of a hassle anyway, who needs to individually cello wrap them? But the truth is that it really does protect the cigar and it gives it an extra layer of protection against breakage and the crumbling of the wrapper. You'll notice right here if you get up close that the torpedo end has an extra little piece of foam on the end to protect the torpedos. I've opened a bunch of different cases of these and have found that each box does have a couple that are damaged in the cap area, just for the fact that they didn't individually cello wrap these. They are so beautiful. These are one of the most oily, beautiful cigars I have seen in a long time. So I would say if you lose one, who cares. I'll take some out for you here. Check out the band: it's bright blue and there’s not a lot of manufacturers that do that. Some have navy but blue is definitely unusual. And then it says "Quesada Oktoberfest" here. It does have a die-cut shape. It's got some embossing and gold foiling on there and it's really beautiful. It has a super dark, rich and delicious looking wrapper. And let's just open it up to see what we've got going on inside. So they gave us a ribbon but they cheapened out and gave us acetate instead of satin. That's okay; they did put a lot of pieces in there. Again, they're not individually wrapped so you're going to need to store these quickly. Don't leave them in your box. I would put them in your humidor right away. These are going to end up getting dried up pretty quickly. As you can see, I'm being pretty gentle with these, but I've already torn one wrapper just from sliding these out because they're not cello wrapped. It's definitely an advantage to have them individually cello wrapped. You wouldn't think that a little piece of plastic would have damage control over the cigars, but it really does. There, I've managed to not ruin anymore. If you take the two pieces of vellum out, it's just plain on the bottom and empty. I'm not sure what this extra piece of cedar is for. This is a beautiful stick but like I said, it does have a limited time on there. You're not going to be able to find these in the middle of October; they're already going to be gone by then. This is a medium to full bodied stick with a Dominican Wrapper and it's from the Dominican Republic obviously. This is Kelly with Cheaphumidors.com and if there is a product that you'd like me to unbox, please let me know. I would be glad to take it all apart.
