The burnt trees are from the 242 fire that was in 2020. This is one of the most popular kayaking waterways in Southern Oregon. Located off Highway 97 at Collier Memorial State Park. When you put in at the Spring Creek Day Use area it takes a little over 1 hour to paddle north to the headwaters where you can see the springs bubbly out of the sands beneath the surface.
