I realised that all the old barriers that had prevented me from finishing before had turned into excuses. One's that were no longer valid, they weren't there anymore—kids are adults (my youngest just turned 20 and yep, she's applying to nursing too, which lit a fire under me), no little ones needing childcare, all of the original barriers are now gone.
