Accompanied by George Butterworth's 'Two English Idylls', this is a gentle ramble past the Neolithic and Iron Age earthworks of Hambledon Hill, Dorset. It is September 2021, and we join Molly the dog and a surprising number of sheep. The hill is a chalk outcrop on the SW edge of Cranbourne Chase, in the English county of Dorset. It is mid-way between Shaftesbury (to the north) and Blandford Forum (5 miles to the south). It is owned by The National Trust, is a National Nature Reserve and the hillfort and neolithic causeways are Scheduled Monuments. Music: Two English Idylls. Composed by George Butterworth.
