Don’t miss Samuel Andreyev’s world premiere of, The Flash of the Instant, Thursday January 29 @Koerner Hall, Toronto. Samuel Andreyev was born in Kincardine (Ontario), Canada in 1981. He studied composition with Allain Gaussin in Paris, then with Frédéric Durieux at the Paris Conservatoire. At the same institution, he has also obtained the superior Analysis prize, as well as diplomas in orchestration, musical acoustics and new technologies. In parallel, he has completed his training as an oboist with Didier Pateau in Paris. Andreyev has taught as a guest lecturer in various institutions, and his music is performed throughout Europe, Japan, Canada and the United States by ensembles such as Les Percussions de Stasbourg, l’Orchestre de l’Opéra de Massy, Nouvel Ensemble Modern, L’Orchestre du Conservatoire de Paris, Lost Dog, Ensemble Linea, Continuum and many others. Also active as a poet, his first trade collection, Evidence, was published in 2009.
